Eu4ria Inc started as a humanitarian effort formed by a group of students from Nanyang Technological University who went on a trip to Cambodia for a two-week volunteering project as part of the Youth Expedition Programme (YEP) in 2008. As part of the YEP requirement, the group created a business plan and decided to enter it in the NTU’s Business Plan Competition. Though they came in third, it did not deter the group from moving forward and making their organisation a reality.
The organisation now manages various Overseas Humanitarian Expeditions which included previous collaborations with National Technological University for Project Pelita in 2007 and 2008. In June/July 2010, Eu4ria Inc is sending two teams, Team Ignite and Team Ajuta to Battambang, Cambodia to render humanitarian aid to Madrasah Jamiyyah Munabiq Al-Khair which is also an orphanage run by Cambodia Good Source Organisation (CGSO).
Team Ignite believes in nurturing the leadership qualities of the youths of Singapore through a journey of common goals. We support them in taking on significant roles as leaders or active members in both local and overseas projects. In line with that, we also believe in changing the world while changing ourselves. Our expedition to Battambang aims to better enhance the quality of education in that community, with the hope of improving their employment prospects when they complete school. Therefore, we would like present them with an opportunity to break out of the poverty cycle.
